Max Colon #friendship #memorial

A young friend of mine died suddenly Sunday.
I worked along side of him.
He stuck up for me once, rather fiercely, I might add.
He laughed at my jokes. He read my sermons.
He knew things. He knew how to have fun. He knew how to work hard. He knew how to love.
When we parted (I retired) I missed him. I will miss him even more now.
His name? Max Colon. HE WILL NOT BE FOR GOTTEN.

Learning Patience through #googlestatistics- #blogspot #blogger

I was discouraged with my blogging progress for a day. I was keeping an eye on daily statistics, which seemed dismally low. Then I took a moment to  review the monthly and all time stats. (this info is provided free to all google bloggers on blogspot.com)
Each of the 3 blogs I now post are having all time high views for the month.
My flagship blog, The Shepherd's Heart Journal, is having an all time high view this month, even though I'm NOT publicizing this blog. The average daily views are 200 and all of those views are from people who seek out the blog.
I also viewed my eStore income, misnamed because it hasn't actually come in yet, but will come in in segments. $180 will be coming in. I was shocked and pleased.
Daily progress always frustrates. Long term progress always surprises.

#Microsoft #Surface, #Google #Chromebook Gets It, #Apple Misses

In unveiling their new non tablet tablet "Surface" Microsoft aimed at the heart of a market Apple turns their nose up at, the thrifty businessman.
If you want a keyboard in an Apple you have to be a publisher or an educator, and you also have to be well funded. There is no qwerty keyboard in an iPhone or in their tablets other than on their touchscreens.
The Google gang also understands this. Plenty of opportunities to buy qwerty keyboards for the business man or woman not backed by a corporation and on a limited budget in the Google crowd. Microsoft has always included the keyboard, a business necessity.
For the budget minded, Apple only seems to want to make expensive toys.

Situation Is Very Fluid #humor #romance #rmdo

I recently texted my family: We're packing to leave tonight for Indiana. There's a possibility we'll go back Sunday night. Or Monday. Or July 2. Or later. No earlier than Sunday night.
I did not text them the following. Because I live with Mary, the situation is very fluid. Like an adventure. I love it.

My son in law, a #gift from #God #inspiration #rmdo

I sent my son in law a birthday card not so long ago. Thought y'all enjoy it.

Happy birthday, son in law!

Tim, when Beck first asked me to bless you as a potential son in law, God allowed me to see into your heart. I saw two things.
1. You really did love Jesus, although you didn't know much about him.
2. I saw you would make a good husband, father, and provider, because I saw that you would lay down your life for Becky and your future family.
Time has not proved me wrong. I am incredibly proud of you. Thanks for picking our family and Becky for your future.
Dad (in law)

What did I get him for his birthday? an Amazon Gift Card, sent by email, with the above note attached!

Why shake and not stir? #vodka #jamesbond #piercebrosnan

Mary asked a question, and I've learned that whatever Mary is curious about is what you're curious about. What is the purpose of shaking a drink rather than stirring it, as James Bond so specifically instructs: shaken, not stirred.
According to Wikipedia, shaking chills the drink much more than stirring. Now we know that James Bond is a student of physics.
The picture I deliberately chose for James Bond was that of Pierce Brosnan, who also starred in the Remington Steele TV Series. I am convinced he was the best Bond ever, and I was convinced he'd be a great Bond when I first started watching Remington Steele. So did the James Bond franchise, who asked Pierce to star in Bond films early into his contract with Remington Steele, but the producers of the TV series would not release him from the contract.
I like the current actor Daniel Craig, and I've enjoyed each of the Bond stars, but Pierce brought the best blend of action, drama, and humor. NOBODY STRAIGHTENED HIS TIE LIKE THE PIERCE BROSNAN JAMES BOND!

And the beat goes on..#funnyvid #cadbury #humor #rmdc

His SHINING SON! #rmdo #wisdom

Thanksgiving opens darkened heart's eyes to Father's Light. Praise opens the door to His SHINING SON!
