I LOVE MY JOB!

For years almost 20 I worked at a wire manufacturing company. It started in Bremen and then moved around 1990 to Mishawaka on 17 18 home Street.

I am not mechanical. I am a musician. My dad did his best but I did not like getting my hands greasy and I was delusional and thinking that I would never need to work outside the church.

Dad did his best to make me a tradesman. Mom and dad underwrote my education in three important areas. I learned how to weld. I learned how to tune pianos. I took very expensive piano lessons for one year.

Because of that, my younger brother, my wingman, was very jealous until I told him the rest of the story. My brother Tim had a place and it was extremely protected. I was to play the piano and she made sure he had the best guitar she could afford. She was 5'2 and fearless to a fault. Part of the reason she suspected Tim gave up on the guitar was that I picked it up so quickly. He used the guitar difficulty to play as an excuse. So she bought him a pretty nice guitar and gave it to him and I was leaning in looking longingly at his guitar. Has she left the room she had me been down so she could whisper in my ear the following words. IF YOU TOUCH HIS GUITAR I WILL BREAK YOUR FINGERS.

Fast forward to 1986, the year the Chicago bears won the super bowl. I had decided and just a couple of years to give up my dream of pastoring a large church and I and a small hearty band of parishioners decided to start our own church. FAMILY BIBLE FELLOWSHIP.

Both my best friend and I were looking for a place that satisfied our desire to work lots of hours and a neighbor by the name of Scott Allison mentioned that if you guys like overtime you need to go to a company called RISTANCE.

Fast forward to standard motor on home street after almost 20 years I finally learned slowly how to become mechanical and I learned every single job in that factory. They called it a master operator. I work so much overtime and my pay bands were so high that I made more than the company president. That's enough for now. I will have to finish this story in a second or third part. Later Gators. I LOVE MY JOB!
