According to upper management, ie the son of God, children are the reason we are here. The Sunday school movement started well before possibly the civil war but I'll check into that. Anyway I know that there was a Sunday school movement in Britain back during the industrialization because the children work so many hours to support their families that it was necessary to educate them on Sunday and thus Sunday school was born and continues to this day.
