Pray for Norway after Lone Gunman Massacre A lone gunman detonated two large explosions in downtown Norway, then drove to an island where many young people had gathered after the explosions. He began shooting every one on the island. Many young people fled to the water, which was too far to swim back to the mainland. The gunman later began to pursue and shoot those in the water. Latest death toll count was 91, and is expected to rise. One young man survived by screaming at the shooter, who spared him. Another hid among the bodies in the water. The shooter came so close he could feel the heat of the gun barrel. Any philosophy without God in complete charge becomes godless and destructive. The shooter was "a conservative fundamentalist" and a "freedom lover". He hated the Muslim philosophy. He was 31 years old, and from a wealthy family. He loved to hunt, and had access to guns. He had an organic farm, and had access to fertilizer. By taking freedom and justice into his own hands, we duplicate the worst of the philosophy we despise. Lord Jesus, wrap your arms of comfort around grieving families. Take control of our childish minds. Protect our children from predators. Let the shepherds who guard our children discern the wolves.  |
