What's up with that?

 

I'm thinking of changing, very slowly, my basic wardrobe color from black to white. The black color started when I was working on the towers, 14 foot high ovens, set at 800ish degrees, that ran 16 strands of fiberglass thread and one strand of kevlar thread through a tub of  black liquified carbon in 8 or so passes CONTINUOUSLY to make ignition wire for cars. The liquified carbon splashes everywhere, me, my clothes, my shoes, so very early in my being asked to fill in temporarily, for 15 years, I switched to shorts, muscle T shirts, cotten, and black. I became The Man in Black, like Johnny Cash or Hewey Lewis or The Blues Brothers. After I retired I still keptsh the black and purschased a huge walking stick. I became Mad Dog the Black. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!! When I switch to white I'll become Mad Dog the White, protector of Hobbitts.

Tai chi: Slower. Stronger.

Tai chi is an art of slow martial arts practice. Moving slowly, like piano practice or Tai chi movements actually strengthens the body, very good for my ancient body. Similarly the devil resisting his children actually strengthens them. I strongly suspect the devil trying to slow down our mutual project of building internet bridges of love will only strengthen our bond. A 3 fold chord is not easily broken. #maddogandqueenmary

I erred when I did not explain this more. This is a photo of my first wife. We were married in 1968. She passed away in 2008. When I remarried in 2010, my 2nd wife Mary was the picture of health, but in 2014 she had a prolonged hospital stay and started showing signs of advanced Alzheimer's dementia. I suspect that the devil has beset my family even as far back as my father, who had childhood polio. Every relative named William Michael has died, my father, my son, my grandson, and we almost lost our youngest daughter in a near fatal crash. Her mother heard the sirens and immediately went to intercede on her behalf, and Wendy has fully recovered. But God's grace is greater than Satan's afflictions, and I feel honored that both women chose me, for they were, are, and forever will be shining stars. I appreciate your prayers for my family and Mary's family also. There is no need to apologize.

Doctor Who to a brand new traveler, who is incredulously inspecting the iconic Blue British Call Box: Yes, the TARDIS is bigger on the inside than it is outside.

Doctor Who's sonic screwdriver. With it he can fix anything, diagnose any prodem, find anything lost. 

Spa day. Rachel is our helper. Mary has Alzheimer's.

Could God work with the smallest, most despised gospel works in this modern age?

My next project for today is #projectgratefulness. Who has inspired me? Who has lifted me up?

Let's get started. The first two I note are now friends, though very, very different.One is from Bangladesh, male, 23 years old. The other is from California, female, and closer to my age. They are both extremely #inspiring. Would they be good for you to befriend and/or follow? You'll have to ask them for friendship. It wouldn't hurt to follow them, if possible. Or just keep encouraging me, like Children Are Light did, which seemed to nudge my California friend to befriend my Bangladesh friend.

Next up for inspiring are two of my favorite brothers in the Lord. One Mary and I met in Michigan right after we were married in 2010 while we were eating out at the local Big Boy's. Pablo Montez was and is a fireball for #Jesus .

Am I catalyst? You betcha!

His Workmanship

 In Bible College, written on the chalkboard: The King James Version!! If it's good enough for the Apostle Paul, it's good enough for me!

Of course, during Bible times, everyone wrote and spoke in either Greek or Aramaic. Chuckle.

I ran across this verse in Ephesians.2.20: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

All of God's creation is His workmanship. His good works are designed to do good works.

What happened?

We disobeyed Him. That singular act of disobedience brought us under a curse that was passed from generation to generation.

Lord willing (and the crik don't rise) I will write more later.

Saturday 8.13.23 Fruitless

I was about ready to cull this post because it appeared that I had so little to say. Then I decided to take another stab at it before I axed it. (That last sentence was edgy. Get it? Edgy??)

If there is anything that I have learned, it is this: If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try at least 26 times. Or more.
