Do you guys remember coming back from beardstown where Uncle John was the preacher and we drove by Kankakee cuz back then that's how you went and we looked up at the administration building and a corner had been ripped off and then we stopped for gas at the gas station and Dad had been explaining that it was tornado Alley and we talked to the gas station guy and he said is it true that this is tornado alley and he said you see these two gas tanks here Big huge tanks and he said do you see that that third one across the highway and I said yes and he said that used to be over here and they just built around it. Whether he was pulling my leg or whether it was a true story I can't go back and find out cuz he's probably not here anymore. And that was US 41 or is it 51 was the main road down south to Southern Illinois.
