I started as a fan of DR WHO after watching it on a public network station in North Dakota in 1976 because I'm a sci fi fan and because of the intriguing stories and characters that I could watch with my daughters, and I appreciated the BBC loyalty to a good sci fi series. I'm still angry at USA networks of their fickleness towards great sci fi, starting with Star Trck and more recently Firefly and Sarah Connor Chronicles. I'm in awe and extremely grateful of the follow up and investment the BBC has given this series in acting, writing, music. There is no better series.

My reply to her was: Lucy, this was extremely well thought out. I also wrote a note to Carl Kelpinski, a Facebook friend who used to work in the same factory I worked at: Carl, were you a Dr. Who fan when you worked at Ristance/Echlin/Dana/Standard Motor? I've been a fan since 1980 or possibly since 1976 or shortly thereafter. It would have made the rabid fanaticism called work (I LOVE MY JOB!!!) a little more bearable. Thanks for turning me on to the Dr. Who fan page.
