A LITTLE WHITE LIE

This is a picture of my favorite sister-in-law. My favorite sister-in-law is a little white lie because I have two sister-in-laws and they're both my favorite.
10:30 a.m. had a little breakfast, cup of coffee, a quick update of Fox News from the Fox News babes on YouTube, feet are up in my chair, I'm well rested and already finished several posts. My friends inspire me and I hope you all consider me your friend. Great nostalgia post, Don.

MAY I ASK THREE QUESTIONS?

This is 2025. A great year to be alive. The year the Great peace began. From Ukraine and Russia Israel and Iran. MAD DOG
May I ask three questions? What would Jesus do? What does God desire? Do you really want to bet against the Donald?

BIPARTISANSHIP IS THE GOAL

This comment is a follow-up to an earlier comment where I stated Momdani does not have Trump derangement syndrome, or to be more clear, his TDS does not limit him from working in a bipartisan fashion. Bipartisanship it's actually our goal and happens a lot more than people realize but it's usually in the trenches. All hard work occurs in the trenches where people don't see and credit is not given but many people, myself included, don't care who gets the credit as long as the work is done. Later Gators.

DEATH CULT

Before I even read this excellent article by Don Surber, I have a rough idea of what I'm going to say. I am amazed at how many times drug runners can convince themselves to get on the boat that is about to be blown to smithereens. The two words that explain their thinking is DEATH CULT.
Those same two words also explain the Palestinian movement, the Democrats death grip on abortion, and illegal aliens and their families protesting until they get sprayed with pepper spray and run their vehicles into ICE vehicles. I could take the time to explain everything until all of your questions are answered, but I don't have the patience and you don't have the time. Later Gators.

THE BLAME GAME VERSUS ENJOY LIFE. WORSHIP GOD.

When God confronted Adam and Eve in the garden, they played the blame game. Adam said THE WOMAN WHO NOW GAVEST ME... Eve said THE SERPENT BEGUILED ME.
Right now, the liberal Democrats are blaming everything on Trump. The conservatives are blaming the liberals for the mess they have to clean up.
Since I am 77 years old, I can take the long view of history. Since the evangelicals abandoned tariffs I prayed for a president that had financial understanding as pointed out by Jesus in the parable of the gold coin, a principle well understood by Alexander Hamilton.
Now we are changing to a process of highly vetted borders to stop the flood of fentanyl and human trafficking. This process is painful but necessary.
My suggestion is to stop the blame game, enjoy life and worship God, for He is in charge.

THE WORLD HATES US? NO SURPRISE.

In the third chapter of the book of John, Jesus stated DON'T BE SURPRISED THAT THE WORLD HATES YOU.
The world hates those who share the gospel of Christ.
The world hates free speech, because it allows the gospel of Christ to be shared.
The world hates mothers who want to Bear children, and the men who want to be fathers, hence the hatred of the trans movement.
The world hates America, because America has always stood up to suicidal bullies and death cults.
The world hates president Trump because he wants to strengthen America and stand against suicidal bullies.
The world hates Christians because they voted for Trump and love the hated Jewish Nation.
The world hates us because the ruler of this world hates us. But Jesus has overcome the world. Later Gators.

UNVETTED INSANITY

The insanity of unvetted open borders is becoming slowly apparent due to several events.
The takeover of California by the cartels became apparent when 3,000 Cartel associates were arrested in a massive operation. Huge amounts of drugs, money, and information were seized. This information is available to the public. You can Google it.
Another revelation of liberal incompetence became apparent with a massive amount of truck drivers, including big rig truck drivers, involved in deadly accidents. Liberal states run by democrats hired non English speaking drivers and sent them across our nation's highways causing carnage and devastation.

IS TRUMP A GOOD MAN?

The question was asked, is Trump a good man? A dear friend answered no. According to Jesus, none of us are good, so he was right. We are not good. Can God still use us sinners? Yes, if we allow ourselves to be humbled under the mighty hand of God. I know. It's hard for me to be humble, especially since I'm talented and good looking.

MAGA, MAHA, AND CLARITY

Wow. God granting me the desires of my heart, by giving our nation a president with deep financial understanding, is causing an explosion in the mental health trade. At the same time, beyond my specific request, I am getting MAHA, which I greatly desired, because I've been irritated ever since Dr Dobson pushed McDonald's to switch the seed oils instead of beef tallow. I just took my family out for a mental health trip and ate at Popeyes, which has the world's best fries, the world's best fried chicken, and the second best biscuit in the world, behind the cheddar baked biscuits of Red lobster. In addition, I am in love with clarity and God granted my desires with the artificial intelligence boys of DOGE, Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard.
Is our future bright and Rosy? That's a mixed message, for the wheat and the tears are growing up together and won't be separated till judgment Day. Thank you for allowing me to speak my mind. Blessings on all of you.

NOTE TO MY LIBERAL FRIENDS

Now for the opposing view. Charlie Kirk's assassination. George Soros. October 7th. Listen to Bill Maher give a more accurate assessment. The Democrats hatred of trump made him unstoppable. The solution is to stop hating Trump. Listen to my favorite Democrat besides Bill Maher, John fetterman. And outside of the public eye, I have tons of evidence that Democrats and Republicans are working below ground to get things done. Stop by anytime and I'll update you. Bring an offering from Popeye's Chicken. Both my daughters voted for Kamala along with my adorable neighbor. This is a marriage of Republicans and Democrats by Divine design. Get used to living with each other. I know. I feel just as frustrated as you do.

IN DEFENSE OF A DUMBASS DEMOCRAT

In keeping with my shepherd's approach, sounding very similar to an old Fox News slogan, fair and balanced, I must say a word in defense of a dumbass Democrat that Don, my blogging hero, may have left out. He mentioned the drunken night with Marines and ending up with a Nazi symbol on his chest, and left out one small but important detail. The Maine Marine was drunk in Croatia and it is well known that Nazi sympathizers are embedded in Eastern Europe. In keeping with the nature of the Constitution which divinely explains how to limit governments' addiction to power, I will limit my own addiction to the beauty of my thinking and shut up now. Later Gators.
I am saving this post on sub stack so I can spoon feed it to my honorable but liberal daughters. They are short of historical understanding because they were homeschooled but they are quickly catching up with their own research, especially with their historically accurate Bill Maher who presents history in a humorous way, but from a liberal point of view, unlike my hero who has a conservative point of view. This marriage of viewpoints appears to be part of Divine design built into the American psyche. Who knew God was so smart?

GROK SAYS REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS ARE QUIETLY WORKING TOGETHER

Are there examples of Republicans and Democrats working quietly to solve problems?
Yes, there are numerous documented examples of Republicans and Democrats collaborating behind the scenes or in low-profile ways to address issues, often away from partisan media glare. These efforts typically focus on pragmatic, non-ideological problems like infrastructure, disaster relief, or technical fixes, where public grandstanding isn't necessary. Below are several concrete cases, drawn from congressional records, bipartisan reports, and credible news outlets across the political spectrum (e.g., Politico, The Hill, Fox News, and CNN).Recent and Historical ExamplesIssue
Description
Key Players
Outcome/Source
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (2021)
A core group of senators negotiated for months in private sessions, sharing drafts and data outside public hearings. They focused on funding formulas for roads, bridges, and broadband without tying it to broader social spending debates.
Republicans: Rob Portman (R-OH), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Susan Collins (R-ME).
Democrats: Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ, then), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Mark Warner (D-VA).
Passed with 69-30 Senate vote (19 Republicans joined). Quiet talks avoided filibuster threats. (Source: Politico's detailed timeline; Senate records).
COVID-19 Relief Packages (2020)
The "Problem Solvers Caucus" (25 Democrats, 25 Republicans) met virtually and in small groups to draft a $1.5 trillion compromise bill, bridging gaps on stimulus checks and business aid while excluding hot-button items like state bailouts.
Republicans: Tom Reed (R-NY), Fred Upton (R-MI).
Democrats: Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Abigail Spanberger (D-VA).
Influenced the final $900B December package. Bipartisan support prevented total shutdown. (Source: The Hill; Caucus press releases).
Criminal Justice Reform (First Step Act, 2018)
Years of closed-door meetings between conservative groups (e.g., Koch network) and liberal advocates refined sentencing reforms. Lawmakers exchanged prison data and recidivism studies privately.
Republicans: Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Mike Lee (R-UT).
Democrats: Dick Durbin (D-IL), Cory Booker (D-NJ).
Signed by Trump; reduced mandatory minimums for nonviolent offenses. (Source: ACLU and Heritage Foundation joint reports; Congressional Research Service).
Disaster Relief Funding (Ongoing, e.g., 2023-2024)
After hurricanes like Helene (2024), small bipartisan teams in the House and Senate Appropriations Committees negotiate aid packages in unmarked rooms, using FEMA data to allocate funds quickly without pork-barrel additions.
Republicans: Kay Granger (R-TX, former chair), Tom Cole (R-OK).
Democrats: Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), Henry Cuellar (D-TX).
Multiple bills passed unanimously or near-unanimously (e.g., $20B+ in 2024). Minimal public debate. (Source: FEMA reports; Roll Call).
Water Infrastructure (America's Water Infrastructure Act, 2020)
Senators worked in subcommittees with Army Corps of Engineers experts to update dam safety and flood control, sharing technical briefs privately.
Republicans: John Barrasso (R-WY), Kevin Cramer (R-ND).
Democrats: Tom Carper (D-DE), Tammy Duckworth (D-IL).
Reauthorized WRDA programs with broad support. (Source: Senate Environment Committee records).
Why This Happens QuietlyAvoids Partisan Pressure: Public negotiations invite media scrutiny, donor backlash, and primary challenges. Private talks allow data-driven compromises (e.g., using CBO scoring for costs).
Evidence from Insiders: Books like The Senate by Daniel Stid or memoirs from figures like Rob Portman describe "backroom" deals as essential for 60-vote thresholds in the Senate.
Bipartisan Groups: Organizations like the Problem Solvers Caucus, No Labels, and the Bipartisan Policy Center facilitate off-record meetings. They report 50+ quiet successes since 2010 on issues like veterans' health and farm bills.
These aren't exhaustive, but they show cross-aisle work is routine on "must-pass" or technical issues—about 80-90% of bills pass with bipartisan support, per GovTrack data, though flashy ones dominate headlines. For deeper dives, check congressional committee transcripts or nonpartisan trackers like the Lugar Center's Bipartisan Index.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BAD IDEA

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A BAD IDEA.
Again, before I read another excellent article by Don Surber, I feel compelled to comment, because I am a gospel preacher with a Shepherd's heart, and I want the flock of the US citizens and citizen wannabes to stop butting heads against each other and live in peace. I actually have the authority to do that for God has anointed me with powerful prayers and who am I to question God? If you doubt my resume, read my book THE RAIN PARABLES available on Amazon.
To limit myself from rambling on forever, for every preacher love the sound of his own voice, I will limit myself today as always to one topic and one title.
IT IS NOT A SIN TO HAVE AN OPINION, EVEN A STUPID ONE. DUH.
When solving problems, brainstorming teaches us there is no such thing as a bad idea. This is both true and false at the same time. This is where Free speech comes in. The adults in the room need to discuss where an idea will take us. For example, I understand the feeling that sometimes it feels like it's better to just burn it all down and start over. But the consequence of following that idea to its ultimate end can bring about, if you studied history, millions of deaths.
Men love the idea of toughening up. But that idea carried out to its purest form results in the Ebenezer Scrooge complex, which is best illustrated during the British colonization period where the idea of ultimate free trade resulted in both the Irish potato famine and the rebellion of the colony which became the United States. Now this is where my sarcasm steps in for a moment and says what a bunch of dumbasses.
There is also the feminine side that has a strong element of compassion what it is possible no probable to carry that too far resulting in suicidal compassion. This is where my Democratic friends are at right now.
Since I believe strongly that God intervenes in history I will conclude this little treatise with the speculation that God has raised up the United States for a purpose and to do that he keeps forcing these two sides of American politics into a shotgun marriage, and as Rodney King once famously said, during the LA riots, can't we all just get along?
That's enough for now, boys and girls.
