Boosting

Hitting the Google Plus button (or the Facebook like or Tweet buttons) boosts my ranking in Google search. Makes it easier for my new friends around the world to find me. Thanks for doing that.

Google Plus


I'm extremely happy with the new way of posting for two reasons.
First, I spend much more time in God's Word, using as many spare moments as I can gather to meditate on God's Word, then journal my meditations, which I immediately post on Facebook and Twitter in my typical shortened style.
When I first started meditating and posting in 2009, I noticed my mind did a gear shift  somewhere in that period, and I began thinking in 140 character length stand alone sentences.
This change in my thinking allows me to use my business and ministry as an excuse to meditate in God's Word as much as I can find the time to do it.
Second, I'm happy using Google Plus and http://myshepherdsheartjournal.blogspot.com/ as the primary vehicle in getting these posts out. I now use Facebook and Twitter as secondary or supplemental postings.
This has involved a powerful tool to promote and spread the word and THE WORD.
That tool is Google Search.
Since I've changed my method, my daily page views have gone up almost 10 times, over a thousand a day with just moderate activity.
God gets the glory for this, for He has both taught me day by day, in revelations, and even in dreams, plus He keeps the thumb in my back, whispering in my ear that I can do this with His help.

Winding Down

Very early in the morning Mary and I will pack up our stuff and head for the Orlando Airport for the flight home to Michigan. This was a wonderful week here in Florida, so much so that we scheduled the entire month of February  to stay down here next year.

My Shepherd's Heart Journal

My Shepherd's Heart Journal
It has occurred to me that my friends might enjoy a venue where I can post just my meditations. Twitter has it's own social rules that somewhat interfere with that, and many people DON'T LIKE TWITTER, so I've decided to put all my meditations on My Shepherd's Heart Journal, just the meditations, and nothing but the meditations. 
Since the meditations are my most productive activity, this should be an easy task.

Singing at Kingsford Heights Indiana


Back in the days when we were young, both my family (the Dittmer clan might be a more accurate description) and the Royers had formed gospel singing groups. I sometimes peformed in both groups on the same week ends and even in the same concerts. One such event was a gospel concert in Kingsford Heights Indiana. Mrs. Royer, the Royer clan matriarch, had saved a picture of our family taken at this concert, and passed it on to her one of her children, where it ended up on Facebook. A very long time ago!

Claudia and her husband Mike Royer, were at the wedding of myself and my late wife Lynne, who passed away in October 2008. Venus and Jupiter

Mary and I enjoy the night sky at our Indiana home. We've noticed the bright stars in the Western sky in the early to mid evening. According to EarthSky.org, March 2012 is a great month for watching the 5 visible planets especially the two brightest which are in the Western sky this month. Venus is the brightest, and nearby Jupiter is the 2nd brightest, and they have aligned themselves this month for a rare show.
The picture I used for the blog was taken off Google search.
