Setting It Up

By now, you have figured it out that I am trying constantly to make God's Word central in my life. 


In my blog Essence, I noted that there are 3 essential actions of life, and each of these has a high priority step within and I try to focus on those high priorities. There is Doing, Learning, and Knowing, and the most important of these is Knowing (relationships) and THE most important relationship is knowing God.
Of the Doing, the most important is Getting Ready to Go, or the set-up.
Of the Learning, the most work is focused on Language, the best tool being my journal.
So to make God's Word central in my life, I am constantly on the look out for setting up my day so that I can get out my journal, and study a word in God's Word (language and journal), so that I can Know My God deeply.
Rather than seek to be your teacher, I would encourage you, dear reader, to seek THE TEACHER, The Holy Spirit, to direct your life right now, as I am doing this very moment, into a 24/7 moment by moment learning and doing experience with THE LIVING GOD!

High Gas Prices? DON'T PANIC!!



There are a list of reasons for us not to be worried over the recent rise in gas price, not the least of which is that God is still in charge of affairs, and He always makes a way for us to provide for the needs of our families and future.
The terrorists nations that uses the uncertainty of oil production to their advantage are cutting off their noses to spite their faces.
Any business that takes advantage of their customers eventually finds itself without customers.
Back in the 50s and 60s, the unions, the politicians, and even the Mafia itself thought they had a lock on the majority of the population in the US. It should have been no big surprise when the majority of the city population simply decided to build new homes outside of the city and vacate, leaving the cities holding the bag on an aging infrastructure.
Every time the oil terrorists stir political fear and industrial unrest, the world takes a big step away from oil dependency.
During the first oil run up in the 70s, the worlds use of natural gas was around 16%. Now it's running 26%.
The first time wind generation was tried in a major way, the maintenance costs were prohibitive and start up costs were high, and when the oil price did their cyclical drop, it eradicated the industry.
Now the industry has a firm footing, and short term drops in oil price  won't destroy a robust answer to high oil prices.
The first economy cars were unsafe sardine cans that would roll up on the passengers. Now the new small cars are focusing strongly on occupant safely, and drawing 5 star reviews.
The ethanol industry is now the golden child of the corn states, and even with the strong demand for corn, the price for a bushel of corn is only slightly higher than it's peak in the 70s.
Perhaps the greatest danger for the oil terrorists is their passionate blind hate for Israel. God has His hand on Israel, and any nation that decides to make Israel into a punching bag and a catch all blame station for all their economic woes will be taking their case up before the highest court, The Lord God Almighty.
That is also one reason why we need to take a lesson from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and DON'T PANIC!  
Don't let fear drive us to form an unholy alliance with a mafia like group of businessmen that wouldn't throw in a life preserver if we were drowning.
