So.. Apple sued and won big, on their home town turf.
Never mind that they're not faring quite as well the further they take the fight away from The Apple Club of San Francisco.
What has the law suit gained for Apple in shutting down the competition?
It hasn't won them any financial gain, since the verdict will be appealed.
The Android now operates on 75% of all smart phones, a large gain from a year ago.
Samsung has just reported their most profitable quarter in their history.
At least part of the reason that Samsung has done so well is because of the lawsuit itself, which served as a showcase to the world for Samsung to display it's wares.
Samsung is now the largest manufacturer of smart phones. Lat quarter it sold twice as many smart phones as the second place Apple, 55 million to 27 million.
Apple hasn't fared so bad itself. It is now has the largest value of any company on earth, present or past.
It has the highest profit ratios of any smart phone manufacturer.
It also has had a noticeable gain in market share, while every other smart phone manufacturer's market share has plummeted, with the notable exception of Microsoft's small gain at tremendous expense, work, and investment.
Does this means it pays to sue or be sued? #rmdo
