Google won the contract for the Interior Department to provide their software for an email based system. This was in the Wall Street journal about 2 weeks ago.
This remarkable turnaround came after a lawsuit by Google 2 years ago alleging The Interior Department had fixed the bidding process that would rule in the favor of Microsoft. Rather than fight the lawsuit, the Interior Department agreed to reopen the bid.
Now the Interior Department is all smiles because they say Google has saved them, (and the taxpayers), over the 7 year contract, $500 million.
Google agreed to do the same thing for $35 million. Surprised?! Shocked?!
I'm not.
