Set up and Take Down

I see it happening now. The rich elites, trying to keep their costs down by putting downward pressure on the ordinary man or woman trying to make a living, importing from abroad cheap goods and labor, taxing the locals ever higher to pay for the rising costs of government oversight

Jesus implied that the heavier burden of paying taxes should fall, not on the citizens, but on new arrivals and on the exports and imports. Common sense tells us that.

From Jesus:  “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tax? From their sons or from others?” And when he said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are free. However, not to give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up, and when you open its mouth you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for me and for yourself.”
