#MasatoAkamatsu: Awesome #Spiderman Catch! #rmdc

After doing some research on this, I can declare this video is real, even though it is so fantastic it appears to be staged.
One other spectacular wall climbing catch was. The ball girl who climbed the wall to make another fantastic catch was actually a GatorAhade commercial that was never released and then later mysteriously appeared on the internet.
The video was done by combining actual game footage with a stunt woman aided by support wires and unseen support steps.
Unlike the Gatorade commercial,  Masato Akamatsu is the real deal, earning a Golden Glove Outfielder's Award and a permanent nick name... Spiderman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masato_Akamatsu

#rmdo David Cracraft #ff @dcracraft

#rmdo I wandered down the David Cracraft road (ie timeline) on GooglePlus for a while. Adventurer (motorcyclist), photographer, eclectric interests, a fellow believer. Probably has never been accused of being boring. My kind of guy.
David is on Facebook and Twitter also. If you're looking to add an interesting friend to your life, follow or befriend him.

#rmdo #ff @TWDittmer Decision Making

#rmdo My brother and I have surprisingly similar decision making processes.
I once asked the Lord to grant me sufficient wisdom to help me make decisions that would not get someone killed. He granted that.
I then asked God to help me make decisions that would not cause heart wounding pain to people I love. He is currently mulling on it.
I finally asked that God would grant me wisdom to make decisions that avoided humiliating me. God laughed. I took that as a NO.

#rmdo Barry Slaski, Warrior of Light #inspiration #realestate

http://www.michianahomesearch.com/2012/09/the-house-give-away-2/
From Barry's blog post
The House Give Away

I am connected to Barry Skalski in so many ways it's hard to describe.
He is a life long friend of my son in law Charles Daly Jr. As such he loosely qualifies as a Shirt Tail Relative, a place of honor in which grand children are forced to call him Uncle Barry.
He became a Source of Revelation to my wife Mary when he gave us some extra tickets to a Weird Al Yankovic Concert that he and Kimberly, myself and Mary all attended together. Mary now concedes that social internet friends are made of flesh and blood.
He is a Geek Extraordinaire, deeply interested in high tech and social internet issues, and a source of many of my humorous photos. He inspired me to enter The World of Twitter.
He is a Radical Realtor, doing his job as if it's God assigned with a style of excellence, passion, and compassion that is award winning.
He is a Fellow Warrior of Light in The Universal War of Light against Darkness. Hence my re-posting his blog article.
Thank him. Pray for him. Pass this article on. And when he walks by, salute him. #rmdo
Mary and Weird Al Yankovic. Mary's on the right.
One of the many photos I have "borrowed" from Barry's Timeline.

#Android vs #iPhone; #Blackberry tanking! #smartphonewars

See update at bottom of blog!

This conversation started out as just my observation, and turned into an interesting discussion between Barry Skalski, a family and Facebook friend and super geek.
Just saw a statistic that during the last three months twice as many smart phone purchasers bought an android device over an Apple iphone.
Don't read into this that this is a death knell for Apple. Apple fans are extremely loyal and Apple is highly profitable, leaving them a lot of cash to fight for market share.
What I have observed is that when 2 biggies fight it out, the newbie or little guy sometimes dies. Remember when two late night shows, David Letterman and Jay Leno started their battle, newbie Arsenio Hall died quickly.
From Barry Skalski: Blackberry is the one that is dead and just doesn't know it yet :)
Mike: Wasn't going to say that, but I agree. When I wrote that thought, I was wondering what you were thinking about this at the time. Thanks for letting me know.
Barry: There is NO doubt in my mind that is going to happen. Palm users are almost non-existent as well.
I was just at a techy meeting last week with about 100 people in the room. Question was asked "What do you use?" About 1/3 raised their hand for iPhone, about 50% raised for Android, 1 raised their hand for Palm, about 10 people for Blackberry.....not good if you are Palm or Blackberry fan.
Mike: Much thanks for that note. I'd like to include your comments in my blog, if that's okay.
Barry: Go for it. I agree with your blog post assessment about the FB changes....people will get on board with it. Wait till they see the next change coming (this week I think)
Mike: I'm looking forward to it.
Barry: Personally, from what I hear, it is going to Rock people's world! It sounds totally incredible!
It sounds totally awesome, basically, your complete auto-biography right before yours and everyone else's eyes. I think it is going to be amazing.
Mike: I agree, at least from my perspective as a journal person. It sounds like I'll be able to easily pull up my past posts through the time line feature.
I used to get twice as many hits to my blog from twitter than from Facebook. Now it's reversed and climbing.
Barry: I think that the more Facebook evolves, plus with the start up of Google+, I think Twitter will be less relevant. Probably will not go away, but definitely going to decline in users.
Mike:  I do know this, between Facebook, Google and their blog, and Twitter, no other social and search sites can grab a foothold, other than Yahoo, and they're working with Google and Microsoft. I keep twitter because of 2 reasons. They make me edit, which gives my quotes a ton of punch, and they reach the poorest and smallest of markets, 3rd world countires, cheap cell phones, etc. which is what I want to do with the Parables.
Barry: I think Twitter will last because of how accessible it is, I just see it going more the way of "reporter" than "social".
Mike: Agreed. Their info capabilities rival Google search.
UPDATE: Interesting geek news about RIM, per our discussion that they wouldn't fare well in a battle between Google and Apple: RIM lost half it's cash reserve, down to 1.4 billion in ONE QUARTER, and took a half billion write down (paper loss) in one quarter because of Playbook, their smart tablet.

#ff @TWDittmer #coffee and #retirement #humor

A conversation with my brother Tim Dittmer, aka TWDittmer, only slightly altered to fit this venue:
Tim- Been hard at it since 6:30. Time for more coffee. Some folks think it's easy, but bein' retired is tough.
Me- How did you get it all done when you were working?
Tim- I had some time/motion people come in and make an assessment. You have to work really smart at this coffee drinking. No wasted effort.

#guykawasaki #enlightened by #googleplus

I was about to click off the computer when I came across an article about Guy Kawasaki, a photographer, blogger, venture capitalist, and author who has a huge social internet following. He writes about things I'm interested in, so I follow him closely.
It was written by Fast Company, a magazine I follow (I'm too cheap to subscribe) because of their innovative, forward thinking.
The subject was Guy's new book about Google Plus, a subject I'm deeply involved in, WHAT THE PLUS!? It's available in My Amazing Amazon eStore through this link.

These 3 converging forces, Guy Kawasaki, Fast Company, and Google Plus have produced an article I must pass on.

Meaning of #hashtags #rmdo #rmdc #blogtips

Hash tags are a tool for micro blogging much like the more antiquated LABELS in blogging. Hash tags serve both the writer to sort his material and the reader to find a category.
You can invent a hash tag, as I have done with two, #rmdo and #rmdc. Be sure to double check it before you use it extensively to see if it's popular for another subject.
Hash tags are useful in 3 venues: Twitter, Google Plus, and Google Search.
It is EXTREMELY helpful for the micro blogger to study hash tags.  Observe the use of hash tags by writers, especially mini posters. Enter a few popular subjects into the Google Plus and Twitter search engine boxes, such as #humor, #funny, #science, #politics and observe.
What do my hash tags #rmdo and #rmdc mean? I thought you'd never ask!
RMD  is an abbreviation of my online handle revmaddog1948 - hence rmd. (I've added the 1948 because there is more than one Rev Mad Dog) #rmdo is put on my short original quotes. I was surprised and delighted to find out how much readers enjoyed them on Twitter.
#rmdo separates my original quotes from other quotes from other authors that I have collected; hence the hash tag #rmdc .
#rmdo = Rev Mad Dog's Originals. #rmdc = Rev Mad Dog's Collection.
Some of my original quotes may sound similar to other famous quotes. If I had to spend some time shortening a quote to make it fit Twitter, I claimed it for my own.
If you're interested in my quotes or my collection, try it out.

Arthur Godfrey - Building #Dreams #artistry #tvhistory

I wrote a note to a GooglePlus friend, Emily Harding, an artist, who wants to live her dream more. MUCH MORE. I wrote her a note.
Emily, the artist always has 3 choices: 1. pick a team you admire deeply, work for them, and build your dream part time. 2. perfect your skills to the point where it's in demand. Learn to live on nothing till then. 3. The Arthur Godfrey approach. Use your artistic skills to sell stuff you believe in. That's my approach.
You are a child of God. You were created to do things you love to do. Prioritize.. yes. Give up? - never.
