Facebook is made up of several groups, perhaps three or four altogether.
There are the socials, relatives (1) and friends (2), and the posters (3), writers, bloggers, politicos, experts, etc.
Then there is the core group of money makers, the gamers (4). Facebook accommodates the gamers by allowing them almost unlimited promotion in notifications. This is getting to be a nuisance for the other groups. I note the frustration when the social crowd finds out that the only way to block the big pile of pop ups for Bingo, Farmville, Texas Holdem and Mafia Wars from Aunt Bertha the gaming junkie is to block her.
