New Drilling Process Lowers Prices

Another article today about natural prices holding steady or even lowering even though producers are scaling back reveals the long term benefits of a relatively new drilling process called "hydraulic fracking".
The bountiful shale rock is drilled not once but multiple times from the same general location and at least one of the central holes is pumped with a hot chemical laden salt water. The process shatters the shale, and forces the released oil  and gas towards the outer drill holes. The process does have it's drawbacks, according to Chris Nelder. A lot of drilling and superstructure is needed to sustain the operation of an oil fieled that quickly tap out in 5 to 7 years. No problem as long as the barrel price stays at $100 a barrel, but a major drop in price would stop drilling quickly.
Not that the price will drop quickly. Other countries are willing to pay $100 plus even if being extorted by the oil cartel.
So, don't go out and buy the biggest SUV you can find, but don't panic either. A summer of $5 will only set off a new wave of drilling, drawn off the natural gas crews that use the exact same equipment. Be smart, be at peace, be in prayer always.
